Dingač is Dalmatia's as well as Croatia's iconic appellation on the southern slopes of Pelješac peninsula. Vineyards in Dingač stretch 10 km long east of Orebić, between Podobuče and Trstenik, creating Croatia's first recognized appellation - protected geographical origin (1961). The steep terrain and the sea below secure an ideal location for the sort Plavac Mali cultivated in Dingač.

Dingač has been traditionally cultivated by its owners from Potomje and Trstenik. Up until the 1976 drilling of the tunnel connecting Potomje and Dingač, people and helping donkeys had to climb the hills to get to the vineyards. In 2010, with the new asphalt cover on the road, access to Dingač both from Potomje and from Trstenik became much more convenient.
